Sweden's EQT to buy Baring Private Equity Asia for €6.8bn

EQT AB has reached an agreement to acquire Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA), a leading private markets investment firm in Asia with €17.7bn of assets under management.  The acquisition will see the combined business rebranded as BPEA EQT Asia and the transaction is expected to close in Q4 2022.
