Credit Suisse names new chair with immediate effect as Horta-Osório resigns over Covid breaches

Credit Suisse Group said this morning (17 January) that its board of directors had appointed Axel P. Lehmann as the bank's new chairman effective immediately. He succeeds António Horta-Osório (pictured), who resigned following an investigation commissioned by the Board.  Horta-Osorio was chairman of Credit Suisse for just eight months.
