Dishonest financial adviser banned for four years

The Monetary Authority of Singapore has today (5 July) issued four-year prohibition orders against Suzannah Khoo Lee Sun, following her conviction in the State Courts for an offence involving dishonesty, namely misappropriation of monies from one of her clients. Under the banning order which took effect from 2 July 2021, Khoo was prohibited from providing any financial advisory services, taking part in the management, acting as a director, or becoming a substantial shareholder of any financial advisory firm under the Financial Advisers Act, the MAS said in a statement on 5 July.
