The Board of Directors of Berner Kantonalbank AG (BEKB) have proposed Reto Heiz and Danielle Villiger. Due to the term limit, Rudolf Stämpfli and Daniel Bloch have left the Board of Directors after 12 years of service.
Heiz is a proven financial specialist. He has worked in various management positions at UBS, including as regional director in Bern. Heiz has many years of operational professional experience in the main business areas of BEKB and knows the regional economy. He holds various board memberships in larger and smaller companies in the Canton of Bern.
Villiger has worked in various positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers AG in Zurich in the area of company takeovers before joining the family-owned trust company in 2012 and managing it since then. She is a proven financial expert and has a broad expertise in the field of auditing as well as tax and business advice. She has in-depth business knowledge with a focus on SMEs.
The following members of the Board of Directors are proposed for re-election for one year: Antoinette Hunziker-Ebneter (President), Gilles Frôté, Christoph Lengwiler, Annelis Lüscher Hämmerli, Pascal Sieber and Peter Wittwer. Antoinette Hunziker-Ebneter and Peter Wittwer as well as new Gilles Frôté are still available for election to the Remuneration Committee.
