Eurizon, the asset management arm of the Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, has confirmed the opening of its Spanish office one year after it landed in the country.
The confirmation has been sealed by the registration of the Italian asset manager on the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
Bruno Patain, country head for Spain and Portugal at Eurizon since last year, said: "The establishment of a Spanish branch represents our further commitment towards the Spanish market and our intention to continue offering Spanish institutional investors products adjusted to their needs, from the closeness and agility of having a local presence.
"During these months, we have had an exceptional reception from Spanish investors. Eurizon and its funds are increasingly known and recognised by the local market in Spain. We must continue working in this line to make clients to continue valuing the quality of our products and the wide range of funds available for them.
"At Eurizon we have a wide range of funds, from more dynamic products to more conservative. These are investment solutions that adapt to the current situation, with low interest rates and low returns, and that allow investors to offer returns with low volatility. We also have funds for more favourable market environments and for investors who have a higher risk profile. "
