Handelsbanken chief executive heads list of powerful women in Sweden

Carina Åkerström has been identified as the most powerful women among Sweden's business elite in the latest edition of the annual list published since 1999 by Veckans Affärer  and more recently taken over by daily business newspaper Dagens Industri. The list has been published in connection with International Women's Day every year since then, and served as a barometer of the roles where women have succeeded in making it to the top.
