Beltrán de la Lastra, the current investment director of the Spanish value boutique Bestinver, will be departing the firm in autumn this year, the Spanish financial daily Expansión reported.
The announcement is set to take place amid the merging process of the firm with the Spanish manager Fidentiis.
Bestinver, owned by the Spanish group Acciona, acquired Fidentiis in July last year in a move aimed at creating the first independent financial group in Spain, the company said in a note when the operation was announced.
Following the operation, which is expected to be close by the end of the year, Bestinver will be absorbing all the business arms of Fidentiis (which includes asset management, capital markets and mergers & acquisitions) as well as Fidentiis team of 80 employees.
De la Lastra joined Bestinver four years ago after having developed its financial career at JP Morgan in London, where he came to be general investment director.
