Andbank strengthens management team with two hires

Andbank Spain has made two appointments to its top management line-up.
The company, specialised in private banking, has named Alex Fusté investments director as well as a member of its board of directors in Spain.
Juan Luis García Alejo has also been appointed director of global asset management and managing director of Andbank Wealth Management Spain (AWM).
Both professionals were already working at Andbank. Fusté, who has been chief economist of the Andbank Group for the past 17 years, and a member of the Group's management committee, will combine these responsibilities with the ones for which he is now being appointed. At his new role, Fusté will be responsible for setting the investment guidelines and for supervising the management, analysis and selection of assets for clients' portfolios.
Fusté joined Andbank in 2003, holding since, a range of positions including that of fixed income director at the firm's asset management department; director of the Portfolio Management unit and most recently, chief economist, a position he has been holding since 2006. Prior to that, he worked for the analysis and market research department of Ciments Molins. He also worked as a manager of fixed income and money market funds at BIBM.
On the other hand, Juan Luis García Alejo, currently sales director for advisory at Andbank Spain, will be taking responsiblity for the management of global funds at Andbank Wealth Management Spain.
García Alejo became part of Andbank in 2015. Throughout his nearly 25 years of financial experience, he has held various managerial functions both in the commercial and management fields. These include investment director at Inversafei SGIIC, general director of Inversis Gestión or business director of Andbank Andorra.
