The key issues and opportunities for the asset management industry - along with the latest investment solutions - are to come under the spotlight from a line-up of investment professionals at InvestmentEurope's Milan Forum 2020.
Taking place on 5 of March at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan, the event provides a unique opportunity for around 35 Italy-based fund selectors to take part of dedicated boardroom sessions on a range of asset classes and investment products; a panel discussion on alternatives; and a talk on artificial intelligence and quantitative finance.
Leading asset management firms confirmed so far for the boardroom sessions are Vontobel Asset Management, Principal Global Investors, UBS Asset Management, and Mirabaud Asset Management.
Adrian Bender, client portfolio manager and executive director at Vontobel AM, will be discussing emerging market debt's investment opportunities.
Damien Buchet, CIO Total Return Strategy at Finisterre Capital, the EMD specialist boutique of Principal, and Mirabaud AM portfolio manager Puneet Singh will also share his views on the outlook for emerging market debt.
Michele Gambera, co-head of strategic asset allocation modeling, investment solutions, executive director atUBS Asset Management will also speak at the event.
The panel session, moderated by Morningstar Italy's managing research editor Sara Silano, will have the participation of head of advisory HNWI at Banca Finnat Mariano Gambaro; head of multimanager at Anima SGR Stefania Taschini; and portfolio manager and a member of the Multi Asset Class Solutions (MACS) investment team at GAM Italy Antonio Anniballe. The trio of investment professionals will collectively address some of the challenges and opportunities they find in the alternative space.
In this line, a wide range of topics related to alternative investments will be addressed during the session, from an overview on the asset class to the suitability of liquid and illiquid alternatives depending on the investors' goals and context.
In addition to the panel session and the usual boardroom sessions, the event will also feature a talk on artificial intelligence (AI) and quantitative finance. Host speaker Tommaso Migliore, CEO and co-founder of the Italian subadvisor MDOTM, will be addressing the use of AI in the investment process.
The Milan Forum 2020 is also joined by the CFA Society Italy as its educational partner.
