Hilbert Investment Solutions, the investment firm founded by former Old Mutual head of structured products Steve Lamarque, has appointed Francois Zagamé as head of research in the UK.
Zagamé joined Old Mutual subsidiary Skandia Investment Group in 2007 as head of Global and UK Equity Research before moving into portfolio management at the group in 2009.
He started his career at AIG Global Investment Group as an equity research analyst/portfolio manager, followed by investment research positions at UBS Wealth Management and Insight Investment.
At Hilbert, he will be responsible for ensuring that both its direct and third-party investment processes are robust and cater to its clients' investment goals.
Hilbert's founder Steve Lamarque, said: "We decided to increase our equity research resources by creating a dedicated research unit to support Hilbert's product design team. Zagamé brings with him nearly 25 years' investment experience and will help strengthen our research capabilities allowing us to design structured products tailor-made for our clients."
The firm was established in 2012 by former Old Mutual head of structured products Steve Lamarque to specialise in cross asset, structured solutions covering equities, rates and commodities.
