High conviction in focus as Macquarie AM's Jacob Vendelbo attends Nordic Summit

Jacob Vendelbo, investment director, Macquarie ValueInvest Global Equity at Macquarie Asset Management, will discuss how to adopt a high conviction approach to global equity markets while still keeping an eye on downside risk, when he presents at the upcoming Nordic Summit Stockholm 2020, taking place at the Grand Hotel on 10-11 March.

A situation of strong returns generated over the past decade has given way to rising global uncertainties and concerns about fragility of markets. In such an environment it becomes increasingly important to avoid suffering falling markets, but still being able to take advantage of rising markets. Vendelbo will outline how to approach this environment using a fully invested, long only strategy that has facilitated positive returns through multiple market downturns over the past two decades.

Vendelbo joined the ValueInvest Global Equity team in 2005, and ValueInvest joined Macquarie Investment Management in 2018. He is an investment director, overseeing institutional client relationships. He began his career in financial services in Denmark in 1991, where he held roles in the private banking sector. He attended the University of Aalborg in Denmark where he gained a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration within Financial and Management Accounting.
