St Galler Kantonalbank's (SGKB) president of the Board of Directors, Thomas Gutzwiller, will leave after having a maximum statutory term of 15 years in 2021. The Board of Directors have nominated the current CEO, Roland Ledergerber, as his successor at the 2021 Annual General Meeting. In May 2021 Ledergerber will step down as CEO. In order to ensure a smooth transition, Gutzwiller will stand at the 2021 General Meeting for another year as president of the Board of Directors.
