Sabadell Asset Management continues expanding its alternative funds offering with the launch of another venture capital fund, raising to four the number of strategies the Spanish manager has of its kind.

Sabadell Selección Ventures II is the second edition of a previous fund of funds strategy investing in venture capital assets. As its predecessor fund did, the new vehicle will invest in newly-created, non-listed companies from secondary markets with high growth potential.

The Fund, established following the closure of its preceding strategy, will seek new companies related to the tech sector and with new business models. But unlike its previous version, the new fund will expand its geographical reach into Europe, Asia and the US.

A total of €60m has been committed for the fund this year and, during the first phase of capital raise, it will be exclusively open to investment from institutional investors, such as investment funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and family offices.
