MDOTM's CEO on how to exploit market inefficiencies through AI at Milan Forum 2020

Tommaso Migliore, CEO and co-founder of the Italian subadvisor MDOTM, will be addressing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the investment process at InvestmentEurope's Milan Forum 2020.
Taking place on the 5 of March at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan, the event will see Migliore (pictured) discussing how AI and machine learning are marking a pivotal transition from human and statistical reasoning to a new era of assisted decision-making.
MDOTM develops AI-driven strategies and quantitative models for institutional investors. The company collects and cleans the huge volume of noisy market data produced every day. Then, by using AI, machine learning and advanced statistical techniques, it analyses those large datasets, train their algorithms and develop actionable investment strategies that exploit known market inefficiencies.
Migliore's presentation will explain the methodology developed by the company, which uses AI to analyse the market and create bespoke investment solutions that can be directly applied to the investment process of financial institutions.
MDOTM was born in 2015, when childhood friends Tommaso Migliore and Federico Mazzorin - graduated in finance and physics respectively- , co-founded the fintech start-up in London after two years working on the creation of their first quantitative model.
In 2013, Migliore, at that time professional ice hockey player, was attending a university lecture on the use of statistics and quantitative models to invest in the markets.
In addition to Migliore's speaking, Milan Forum 2020 will present a mixed format of dedicated boardroom sessions with presentations from up to four fund managers from leading asset management groups, as well as a panel discussion on alternative investments and the impact of data collection.
