French asset management firm Carmignac has transferred its US offshore & Latin America's business operations, to the date headquartered in Miami, to its office in Madrid.
Carmignac's American businesses has been led by Charlotte Samson over the past three years from Miami. From now on, Samson will continue leading these operations from Spain.
The firm said in a statement that it was assessing its organisation and geographical footprint permanently. It also highlighted that the current move would not mean any change for the firm's clients in the US and Latin America, being both markets where the company plans to continue its business operations and partnerships.
Founded in 1989, Carmignac had over €35bn in assets under management as of the end of September 2019.
