Latin America's leading investment bank BTG Pactual, founded in 1983 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), has entered Portugal with the opening of an office in Lisbon.
The launch represents a first step in BTG Pactual's expansion plans across Europe, where its primary focus is the wealth management business of the continent. Thus, the Brazilian investment bank, which also offers asset and wealth management services, has expanded its wealth management business operations, offered to the date in Latin America and the US.
It has been reported that the bank told to Portuguese local media that the Lisbon office would also serve clients living in other European country, offering them services including heritage planning, family office, portfolio management, alternative investment, and corporate advisory.
The bank's operations in Portugal will be led by its partner Ricardo Borgerth, who brings 16 years' experience at the firm's wealth management division.
The bank provides customers with access to an open platform, offering both its own investment products and third-party funds.
