French independent asset manager Amiral Gestion has appointed Ugo Emrinian to be responsible for institutional clients and big accounts.
From Paris, Emrinian will work alongside Benjamin Biard, development director, and Pierre-Antoine Door, institutional clients and big accounts manager, being responsible also for supervising Amiral's business development in Italy, where the firm's Sextand funds range has been available since 2019.
Amiral Sextant funds suite comprises six funds designed to provide investors with long-term performances and limited risk.
The funds distributed in Italy are the Sextant PEA, the Sextant Autour du Monde, the Sextant Europe, the Sextant Bond Picking, the Sextant Grand Large and the Sextant PME fund.
Emrinian has over ten years' experience in the commercial development of institutional clients and big accounts in France and Italy, gained in different roles at firms including Metropole Gestion, where he was appointed deputy sales director in 2019 after four years working for the French firm. Before, he had worked for the institutional sales team of Swiss Life Asset Management after having achieved some experience in trading at Natixis.
His appointment is in line with the firm's business development strategy, which seeks to continue bolstering its relationship with institutional clients and big accounts.
Benjamin Biard, Amiral's development director, said: "Ugo's appointment marks a milestone in our business development strategy.
"It also represents a key move at an international level since his experience across the Italian market will be extremely valuable for us."
Amiral Gestion was founded in France in 2002 and manages currently around €3.9bn in assets.
