BBVA names head of Spanish business

BBVA has appointed Peio Belausteguigoitia as the new responsible for the bank's business in Spain following Cristina de Parias' departure. De Parias, who has over 30 years' financial career, leaves her responsibilities as BBVA Spain head but will remain in the group as an advisor for BBVA in Mexico. Belausteguigoitia has been responsible for the business development of BBVA Spain since 2017, when he was appointed while holding also the post of director for Spain's Northern region.
