Bankia continues expanding its asset management business with the appointment of three fund managers to the bank's unit of equity, mixed and employment funds led by Augusto Caro.

The other two are the portfolios management direction and the fund of funds, fixed income and guaranteed products.

Berta Ferdinand and Carlos de Andrés join Bankia's employment plans unit, driven by Enrique Blasco. Both will be responsible for the firm's employment pension plans and for contributing to the asset allocation strategy of the group.

Ferdinand has over a decade of financial experience in the area of asset management, having worked as a fund and pension plans manager. De Andrés previously worked for the fund of funds management and selection team of Allianz-Popular.

On the other hand, María Rivas joins Bankia's equity funds unit as an analyst. She has over 14 years' experience as a financial analyst in the Bankia Group.
