EQT partners establish own business using EQT shares

EQT, the €41bn AUM private equity investor based in Stockholm, has announced the establishment of an investment company by four of its patners into which they will place their current EQT shares, equivalent to some 15% of EQT AB.

The four partners are Conni Jonsson, Thomas von Koch, Harry Klagsbrun and Per Franzén (see below table for their respective holdings in EQT AB)

The new investment company is Bark Partners AB, which will henceforth hold 15.2% of EQT and become the second biggest shareholder behind Investor.

Bark Partners has informed EQT that the ownership is "long term" and that the company will take over the "lock-up" commitments that the four partners previously held individually. Thus, the four owners of the new business are committed to supporting EQT's culture and long term strategy, EQT stated in a press release.

EQT has some 20 funds, and has generated €62bn in commitments since it was established in 1994.
