Invesco has hired BMO Global Asset Management's Andy Dwiar as head of its London-based ETF capital markets team for the UK, Benelux and Nordic region.
Dwiar, who will report to head of ETF capital markets for EMEA Jim Goldie, will chiefly be "developing and enhancing the liquidity and trading ecosystem" for Invesco's UCITS ETFs, according to the firm. He was previously head of ETF capital markets EMEA at BMO GAM and has held previous roles at Bluebay Asset Management, Credit Suisse and Thames River Capital.
Barings has announced that Agnès Belaisch has joined in the newly created role of chief European strategist to help provide "guidance and context" to the firm's investment teams.
Effective 16 December, Belaisch will be responsible for "providing macroeconomic and geopolitical guidance and context [to help] navigate markets and identify synergies" across Barings' platforms and strategies. She joins from the London School of Economics, where she was a senior visiting fellow exploring how investing in social and environmental projects can generate market returns.
Kingswood Holdings has named Leigh Philpot and Rupert Thompson as head of wealth and CIO respectively, with Paul Surguy set to join from Kleinwort Hambros in January to lead its investment management business.
Philpot joins Kingswood from Kleinwort Hambros, where he served as head of regions for 13 years. He will be responsible for the firm's retail wealth planning and investment management businesses. Thompson, who is also promoted to managing director, has been "integral" in formalising Kingswood's core investment process, the firm said, and will continue to focus on its investment offering in his new role. Surguy, who previously served as Sanlam's head of funds research before joining Kleinwort Hambros to lead its discretionary investment offering for affluent UK clients, will join Philpot's team.

HSBC Private Banking has named Gavin Rankin as regional head of Investment Services & Product Solutions, EMEA.
Based in London, Rankin will be responsible for the investment business in EMEA including developing the private bank's investment services and offering in the region, and managing teams providing investment strategy, investment counselling, discretionary portfolio management, trading, and family governance services. He has over 25 years' investment experience in roles at Citi Private Bank, UBS Wealth Management and Goldman Sachs.
IQ-EQ, has appointed Colin Targett as managing director of its Bermuda and Cayman Islands operations.
Targett brings more than two decades of senior experience in the fund services space. A qualified chartered accountant by academic training, his career began in Bermuda where he spent 10 years working with a number of blue chip organisations. More recently, he held the role of head of Overseas Investment Operations with a multinational investment bank where he had overall responsibility for servicing private bank and wealth operations teams globally.
Morgan Stanley Capital Partners
Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, Morgan Stanley Investment Management's (MSIM) middle market private equity investment team as hired Jill Wight as managing director.
Wight will be an operating partner leading MSIM's operational efforts for consumer and healthcare. In this role, she will work closely with Aaron Sack, MSCP's Fund Head and Jim Howland, MSCP's head of Portfolio Operations.
