Fidelity International appoints global CIO for asset management unit

Fidelity International has appointed Andrew McCaffery as global chief investment officer, Asset Management.

McCaffery succeeds Bart Grenier, who has been holding the position since January 2018 and who will be returning to the US in mid-February 2020 to take up a senior position at Fidelity Investments.

Andrew McCaffery joined Fidelity International in July 2019 as global chief investment officer, Alternatives and Solutions, and has also acted as Bart Grenier's deputy.

With over 30 years' industry experience across investment, risk management and client distribution, he joined Fidelity from Aberdeen Standard Investments where, his during eight years'tenure,  he held a wide range of senior roles including global head of Strategic Client Investments and global head of Alternatives.
