Invesco Asset Management has strengthened its sales team in Frankfurt. Thomas Kraus, formerly head of Institutional Sales in Germany, has been appointed as head of Invesco's entire distribution (Institutionals and Retail) in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Fonds Professionell Online reported.
Kraus' position was recreated. Invesco has for the first time a regional sales manager DACH for the two divisions institutional and retail/wholesale. Kraus reports to Colin Fitzgerald, head of Distribution EMEA. He has been with Invesco since 2002. Prior to that, the economist was head of Equity Funds at the then Bawag PSK Invest and portfolio manager at GAM.
Sascha Specketer now manages the institutional business in Germany in addition to German retail sales and thus succeeds Bruno Schmidt-Voss, who died unexpectedly in 2017 at the age of 59. As a result, Kraus took over the management of German institutional distribution on an interim basis.
Specketer joined Invesco as part of ETF's acquisition of Source, first taking over ETF distribution in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe, and then retiring Alexander Lehman as head of German retail sales. He reports in his extended function to Kraus.
