Julius Baer has appointed Felix Xaver Oeschger as the new head for the Zurich market, effective 1 March 2020.
He will be responsible for business with private banking clients in the Zurich area. He succeeds Andreas Feller, who will assume the newly created position of market area head German-speaking Switzerland as part of the announced regional realignment effective 1 January 2020. Oeschger will report to Andreas Feller.
Oeschger joins Julius Baer from Lombard Odier, where he has been head Swiss Clients Zurich since 2013. Prior to that, he spent over 14 years in various functions in Credit Suisse's Private Banking division, most recently as deputy sector head Market Area Zurich Center.
Yves Robert-Charrue, designated head of Switzerland & Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "I am convinced that, with the new structure and the substantial recruitment of new staff, we are very well positioned to offer our clients excellent service in our important home market of Switzerland and also to continue to grow."
