Bankia AM set to adopt BlackRock's Aladdin Risk platform

Bankia Asset Management has reached an agreement with BlackRock to adopt the Aladdin Risk platform in a deal aimed at providing the Spanish manager with the industry's most comprehensive risk and return analyses.

The Aladdin platform will allow greater consistency and standardisation of risk management across all of Bankia AM's markets, providing clients with more transparent risk/return analysis and more complete and timely reporting.

With this adoption, Bankia becomes the second asset manager in Spain to adopt the digital platform alongside Santander Asset Management.

Sebastián Redondo, Bankia AM's investments director, said: "In the current market environment, where asset management is increasingly global and diversified as per asset classes, it becomes essential to use digital tools like the Aladdin Risk platform, which will reinforce the control of risks with the aim to promote the risk/return binomial in order to offer our clients the best solutions."

Bankia AM manages over €25bn in assets across investment funds and pension schemes.
