Barcelona-based financial firm GVC Gaesco has launched its first private equity fund, which will be dedicated to the Spanish market.
Zamit Capital is an investment fund aimed at business families seeking to invest mainly in the development of consolidated family companies with growth potential.
The fund has been launched with a €50m target, of which it has already raised around €30m.
The strategy will have a first venture capital compartment, designed to take minority stakes (from 10% to 35%) of well-managed companies, with the aim to support their growth.
The company said in a note that the fund will invest in a wide range of sectors favouring those firms that operate according to ESG principles.
The second compartment of the fund will be dedicated to sustainable development financial investment, aimed at investing in international funds specialised in sustainable growth, from geographical areas less accessible to investors in Spain.
