NN Investment Partners (NN IP) has announced that Edith Siermann, head of Specialised Fixed Income & Responsible Investing has been appointed as acting head of the Emerging Markets Debt (EMD) team.
This appointment follows the decision of several portfolio managers of the EMD team to pursue their career outside the company. NN IP has taken the necessary measures to ensure continuity in the management of EMD mandates and funds.
Siermann joined NN IP in January 2019 as head of Fixed Income Solutions & Responsible Investing and the management team investments.
She has more than 25 years of asset management industry experience and joins from De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the Dutch central bank, where she fulfilled the role of chief investment officer. In that capacity, Siermann was responsible for managing the central bank reserves, invested in both fixed income and equities and was member of DNB's Corporate Social Responsibility committee, responsible for the integration of sustainability within the central bank's core activities.
Prior to this, Siermann was global chief investment officer Fixed Income and managing director at Robeco, where she successfully developed both quantitative and qualitative Fixed Income products and business in a broad range of fixed income asset classes. Additionally, she coordinated Robeco's responsible investing activities and headed the Governance and Active Ownership team.
