Flossbach von Storch expands Italian team

Flossbach von Storch Invest has expanded its team in Milan. Walter Sperb, in his role of capital market strategist, will strengthen the company in the Italian market. Sperb comes from Credit Suisse, where he previously worked for approximately 40 years.
"We are delighted to have acquired such a high-level and experienced expert of the financial markets," said Dirk von Velsen, board member of Flossbach von Storch Invest. "Our business partners in Italy, as well as the local media, will benefit from his expertise".
Sperb joined Credit Suisse in 1978 and worked as a portfolio manager in various countries. Amongst other things, he headed investment management for institutional clients and pension funds in Tokyo. Most recently, Sperb was head of Asset Management in Italy.
With Sperb, the Italian team, which has been successively expanding over the past few months, now comprises five people: Arcangelo Barletta (Country Head), Ergys Luga (Director Fund Sales), Christian Romaniello (Manager Fund Sales) and Francesca Santonoceto (Country Marketing Italy, based in Cologne, Germany).
