Jersey has been crowned ‘Best International Finance Centre' at this year's International Investment Awards, in what has been a busy year for the jurisdiction, following the launch of new products to the market and the opening of a New York office.
Now in their 20th year, the awards aim to recognise talent, excellence and expertise across the international wealth, asset management, investment and financial advisory sector.
Joe Moynihan, chief executive officer of Jersey Finance, said: "This recognition reflects another hugely busy year for Jersey as a forward-thinking international finance centre, in which we have continued to bring new innovative products to market, such as the International Savings Plans (ISP) product, and extend our reach into overseas markets - not least with the opening last week of our New York office.
Of course, we remain focused on the future as we look to maintain our momentum and continue to provide better solutions for global investors"

Winners of the awards, which were chosen by an independent panel of judges, were announced at a ceremony held at Gibson Hall in London.
Speaking at the event, Christopher Copper-Ind, publisher of International Investment, described the Awards as "something of an industry institution." He added: "Over the past two decades we have recognised extraordinary talent and remarkable achievements from every corner of the globe."
A special report featuring a full list of winners and highly commended, plus a range of photos from the night and extended video interviews with many of this year's winners will be released on Monday 4 November, but you can watch a short video here.
