Legal & General Investment Management has announced the appointment of Margaret Ammon as chief risk officer, subject to regulatory approvals.
Currently chief risk officer for Asset Management, M&G plc, Ammonwill join LGIM in February 2020 and be responsible for the oversight and development of LGIM's risk functions globally, reporting to Michelle Scrimgeour the CEO of LGIM.
Michelle Scrimgeour, chief executive officer at Legal & General Investment Management said: "Margaret brings more than 20 years' experience in risk management, having held senior roles at a number of high profile asset management companies. Her proven track record in building global risk oversight models, coupled with a strong understanding of practical application within differing asset classes and markets, will be an invaluable addition to our business."
Prior to joining M&G in London, Ammonwas chief risk officer for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (2015-2017); APAC head of Risk for Schroders (2011-2015); and chief risk officerfor Old Mutual Asset Managers (2006-2011). She also worked in financial risk management at KMPG (2000-2006). She has worked in the UK, Asia and Australia.
