Ogier Global director Niall Husbands has been made president of the Jersey branch of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
Husbands has taken over from Ed Loader of Integritas Wealth, who held the position for the previous two years.
The incoming president has been a member of the CISI for 26 years and has worked with families, corporates and funds in governance and asset monitoring processes.
Before Ogier Global, the new president was head of private wealth, treasury and investment and board director at Jersey's Intertrust Group.
He also worked as head of wealth in Europe with HSBC France and in the United Arab Emirates as head of wealth management at the bank's Middle East and North Africa division.
Husbands said he looked forward to promoting the work of the institute "with a particular focus on the next generation of wealth management professionals in Jersey, and on Jersey's role as an international financial centre".
CISI head of UK business Jim Winter welcomed Husbands to the role and said he looked forward to helping him support the growth of the branch membership and "shape a dynamic CPD calendar".
