InvestmentEurope is delighted to announce the return of Pensionskassenforum is taking place on 14 November 2019, where 30 to 50 high-ranking cadres from Switzerland's 150 largest Pensionskassen, Collective Investment Schemes and Collective Foundation (BVG) will meet at the Hotel Baur au Lac in Zurich.
The event offers professionals the best contacts and will discuss topics in the financial and pension industry. The focus is on the exchange of opinions and experiences. The knowledge presented there should lead to new solutions.
Thorsten Hens, professor of Financial Economics, Universität Zürich; Dominik Locher, Risk Management Expert, founder und director, Theta; Claudia Emele, leiter Anlagen, Avadis; Matthias Weber, leiter Anlageausschuss, Publica will be taking part in the first panel discussion on how to deal with risk decisions and share it with the investment committee members.
Hens is a Swiss Finance Institute Professor of Financial Economics at the University of Zurich and Adjunct Professor of Finance at NHH. He is the founder of the UZH spin-off Behavioral Finance Solutions, which assists financial firms in developing and implementing investor profiling methods by making use of behavioral finance principles.
Locher began his professional career as a certified structural engineer with a vocational certificate. He then completed a part-time degree as a federally certified asset manager and financial analyst (CEFA). He worked for several years in portfolio management and credit research at UBS. He led various projects, including the well-known BUS tool (Bond Universe Selection). He is a lecturer at seminars organised by the Association for Vocational Training in Frankfurt and in-house trainings at banks. Today he is partner and manager of the Zurich company Theta.
Emele is head of Investment at Avadis and managing director of Avadis Investment Foundations. Before joining Avadis Vorsorge AG as a member of the Executive Board, she worked as managing director of Ortec Finance AG (Switzerland) and as a member of GL for Complementa AG for Marketing and Sales. Previously, she worked for over 10 years in advising and supporting institutional clients and investment consultants in asset management at various domestic and foreign institutions.
Weber is partner and CIO of 47 Heritage in Zurich as well as a member of the Board of Directors and president of the Investment Committee of the Federal Pension Fund. From 2006 to 2019 he was partner and CIO of fundinfo and ifund services. From 1995 to 2006, he worked at Bank Leu in research and consulting, most recently as deputy CIO.
