Banco Santander has launched a discretionary management service comprising five risk-rated portfolios with the aim to give access to active management as well as greater diversification to different financial assets.

Mi Cartera Santander is made up of five risk-rated profile portfolios (Conservative, Moderate, Balanced, Dynamic, and Aggressive) that will invest in Santander best own house funds, with different weights and levels of risk determining the exposure to equities, high yield, and currency.

The Conservative portfolio will be up to 20% exposed to equities; the Moderate from 10% to 40%; the Balanced between 20% and 60%; from 30% to 80% the Dynamics; and from 40% to 100% in the Aggressive.

Managed by the Global Multi Asset Solutions (GMAS) team, which is part of Santander Asset Management Spain, the five discretionary portfolios are aimed at resident people investing at least €10,000.

The GMAS team, led by Cristina Rodríguez Iza, was created in April aimed at defining a unique asset allocation process for the manager. This team is responsible for the selection of direct investments in fixed income and equities, as well as for the selection of third party funds and the portfolio construction of all funds and individual mixed pension plans in Spain.
