Amun AG, the Swiss fintech and cryptoasset exchange traded product issuer, has appointed Laurent Kssis as managing director and global head of ETPs.
Kssis joins from Swedish bitcoin exchange traded note issuer XBT Provider AB, where he helped launch several ETNs on the Nasdaq Nordic and NGM exchanges. XBT Provider's AUM went over $1bn after he joined in February 2017. Six crypto trackers were launched during his time at the business. He has some 17 years of experience in the exchange traded space, and has worked at groups such as Bluefin Trading, Société Générale, State Street Bank and Labranche.
At Amun, he will be responsible for promoting Onyx, a blockchain based ETP issuance and fund administration platform, as well as ETPs into new jurisdictions and exchange operators. Amun currently has seven cryptocurrency ETPs listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. The Onyx platform can be used for ETPs based on any asset class.
Hany Rashwan, CEO of Amun, said: "Laurent has an array of skills which bridges financial markets, particularly ETFs, with the digital asset industry. He will play a pivotal role in our mission to offer investors the highest quality regulated digital asset investment products across Europe. He has a deep network that spans market participants and regulators across Europe, with particular strength in Scandinavia."
