AllianceBernstein signs distribution agreement with Banca Generali to expand across Italy

AllianceBernstein (AB) has launched a multi-asset fund to be distributed solely by the Banca Generali platform in Italy.
The LUX IM - AB AMALIA(i) fund is a multi-asset portfolio that aims to deliver attractive income and long-term capital growth while maintaining downside mitigation. It has an unconstrained global approach to fixed income, equities, real estate and alternative investments.The portfolio also incorporates AB's proprietary technology and artificial intelligence to enhance research and portfolio management capabilities, as well as take decisions more quickly and execute trades faster resulting in fewer missed opportunities.
Banca Generali will also distribute AB's Luxembourg domiciled funds through its open architecture platform.The equity funds include AB's Low Volatility Portfolio, which emphasizes downside protection and Concentrated Global Equity Portfolio, which invests in around 30 business with sustainable growth. Also available on the platform are the European Growth or American Growth equity funds. Multi-asset solutions, such as All Market Income and Emerging Market Multi Asset as well as Sustainable Global Thematic solutions are also of interest to Italian investors

The move represents the latest step in AllianceBernstein's Italian retail expansion strategy, following the hire of three new team members across sales and marketing last year.
