Sustainable investment specialist Osmosis Investment Management has further bolstered its European distribution team with the hire of Fredrik Werneman.

Werneman's appointment is part of a larger firm expansion which has seen personnel numbers double over a two-year period. Osmosis' unique investment approach identifies companies that display strong resource efficiency metrics via a unique, proprietary data set. Osmosis believes that over a market cycle these companies should display attractive investment characteristics, ultimately delivering stronger returns on equity. A non-targeted, natural outcome of the approach is a significant reduction in the environmental footprints of the funds and strategies relative to their respective benchmarks.

Werneman has deep knowledge of and represented a broad range of equity and fixed income strategies. For the past twenty years he has been working with sophisticated investors across Europe to deliver optimal investment solutions, which incorporated a broad range of systematic quantitative equity products.
