Dublin-based Mediolanum International Funds Ltd (MIFL) has announced the appointment of Damian Barry as the new head of Multi-Asset Multi-Management, reporting to chief investment officer, Christophe Jaubert.
In this newly created role, Barry will be developing MIFL's multi-asset offering - an ever increasingly important component of MIFL's product suite.
"With growing client demand for more outcome-oriented solutions, particularly in the currently uncertain landscape, Barry's focus will be ensuring MIFL meets client expectations by navigating the challenges of fluctuating markets," said Christophe Jaubert.
Barry will be responsible for overseeing MIFL's multi-asset multi-manager portfolios and will be working closely with the manager research team on managers' selection and the market strategy team. As part of his role, Barry and his team of portfolio managers will be responsible for combining top-down research of the market strategy team and bottom-up manager selection of the manager research team with the objective of enhancing the effectiveness of the active management in multi-asset multi-manager solutions.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Barry is joining MIFL from Seven Investment Management, where he was responsible for running multi-asset portfolios, developing top-down asset allocation decisions alongside bottom-up passive and active fund selection. Before that he managed large multi-asset portfolios for Threadneedle and Russell Investments for a wide range of global institutional and retail clients.
