Aviva Investors appoints head of ESG, Real Assets

Aviva Investors has appointed Ed Dixon to the newly created position head of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and Real Assets. Based in London, he reports to Melanie Collett, head of Asset Management, Real Estate.
Dixon will be responsible for Aviva Investors' £45bn ESG program on the Real Assets platform, including Real Estate, Infrastructure and Private Debt. He will work closely with colleagues across the platform and with the Global Responsible Investment team to manage the company-wide ESG real asset investment, development and asset management strategy.
With more than 17 years of industry experience, Dixon served as sustainability insights director at Landsec, where he was responsible for the company's approach to sustainable design, climate risk and supply chain visibility. He joined Landsec in January 2016. He oversaw the implementation of the company's sustainable development strategy with £3.6bn in development, strategy, research and governance.
