People Moves: Aviva, Generali Global Health, Jupiter AM, Zurich Insurance and FCA

Aviva
Jason Windsor has been appointed as chief financial officer and excutive director at Aviva. Windsor has been interim chief financial officer since 1 July and joined the company in 2010.
Maurice Tulloch, CEO of Aviva, said: "Jason is exceptionally well qualified to be our CFO. He has a proven track record as CFO of our UK business and has a deep understanding of Aviva and the markets we operate in."
"Jason is a very strong addition to the Board and will bring a strong analytical and commercial perspective."
His appointment has been approved by the FCA and the PRA.
Generali Global Health
International health insurance provider Generali Global Health has appointed Chris Campbell to spearhead growth across the Asia Pacific region. As head of business development - Asia Pacific, Campbell will be responsible for expanding the company's regional footprint through the development of existing and new broker relationships.
A Canadian, Campbell has 23 years' experience of living and working in Asia - 21 based in Japan and two in Hong Kong. Chris joins from Aetna International, where he was the Senior Sales Director based in Hong Kong, and responsible for Government and Key Accounts across Asia. Before Aetna, Campbell was country manager for InterGlobal in Japan.
"Chris brings a comprehensive understanding of Asian markets, and a proven record in driving business growth through a first-rate approach to broker engagement and client servicing." said Stuart Leatherby, CCO at Generali Global Health. Jupiter
Mark Thomas is joining Jupiter Asset Management from River & Mercantile Asset Management to take on the role of head of UK sales, Investment Week has revealed.
Thomas has spent 13 years at R&M, latterly as managing director for wholesale distribution. He also spent 13 years previously at Credit Suisse Asset Management as head of UK retail.
At Jupiter, he will report to global head of distribution Phil Wagstaff, who joined the group in June after leaving Janus Henderson in 2018 together with colleague Andrew Formica, who became CEO of Jupiter.
Commenting on the hire, Wagstaff said "It is a testament to Jupiter's reputation that someone of Mark's calibre is joining us in this key position. He has a deep understanding of the UK asset management landscape and is ideally positioned to build on Jupiter's established reputation in its home market.

Zurich Insurance Group
Peter Giger has been appointed group chief risk officer at Zurich Insurance Group. Giger will also become a member of the firm's executive committee.
He succeeds Alison Martin, who was recently appointed chief executive of Europe, Middle East and Africa and bank distribution.
Giger joins after four years as head of the insurance division and deputy chief executive of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority.
Giger joins Zurich after four years as Head of the Insurance division and Deputy CEO of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. He left FINMA in September 2018.
Mario Greco, Group CEO, said: "Peter is a strong leader with global experience in the insurance industry and technical excellence in finance, risk and underwriting. It's a particular pleasure to announce this appointment as Peter is not new to Zurich. He started his career in our company, and with almost 20 years with Zurich already has an excellent understanding of our business model and risk profile."
FCA
The UK's Fincancial Conduct Authority (FCA) has announced the appointment of Sheree Howard as executive director of risk and compliance.
Before joining the FCA, Howard worked in the insurance and banking sectors. Howard replaces Barbara Frohn, who left the FCA this year. She is currently interim director of R&CO having joined the FCA as a senior adviser in 2017.
Commenting on her appointment, FCA chief executive Andrew Bailey said: "Sheree brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and has already made a real contribution to the FCA as a senior adviser and as interim director of risk and compliance oversight. I look forward to continuing to work with Sheree in her vital role on Executive Committee and advising the Board on the breadth of risk in the organisation."
