Generali Investments Partners (GIP) has appointed Mario Petrachi as head of sales for France & Luxembourg and Gabriele Alberici as head of sales for Italy.
Petrachi, who brings to Generali 20 years of experience in the asset management industry, joins the Group from BNP Paribas Asset Management, where he was head of fund distribution for France and Monaco, and previously head of relations with French financial institutions, banking groups and insurance companies.
Prior to this, he had held various senior positions at Robeco and Natixis in the area of business relations with major French investors.
Alberici joined Generali Investments in 2016 as senior sales manager, a role on which he was instrumental in developing the firm's wholesale business, while broadening the commercial offer of white label products and tailor-made solutions. Before Generali, he worked at UBS Wealth Management, where he spent 13 years first as a senior portfolio manager and latterly as head of the product specialists team, in charge of managing Italian Ultra High Net Worth client portfolios.
Alberici is succeeding Paolo Casadonte who, after leading the Generali Investments' sales team in Italy for four years, has taken on a new role as head of relationship management in Generali Group Investments, Asset & Wealth Management, with the responsibility to act as Generali's point of contact towards the partners of the multi-boutique platform.
Generali has also appointed Ilaria Perletto as a sales manager to the Italian team. Perletto will be focusing on the wholesale segment, reporting to Gabriele Alberici. She joins from Lyxor Asset Management, where she managed institutional and wholesale clients in Italy and Ticino.
Both Mario Petrachi and Gabriele Alberici will be reporting to Carlo Trabattoni, CEO of Generali Investments Partners, who said: "I am very glad to welcome Mario and Gabriele in their new roles - two experienced professionals whose industry seniority and strong competences will be key for our business growth - as well as Ilaria as a new team member.
"These appointments mark a further significant step in shaping GIP's distribution platform."
