Ibercaja Gestión, the asset management arm of the Spanish bank Ibercaja, has launched an equity fund that will group the best investment ideas generated by its investment committee.
Ibercaja Best Ideas will invest globally without geographical nor sectoral restrictions through a concentrated portfolio of up to 30 positions.
The Fund will take investment ideas from both the manager's fixed income and equity teams.
"At Ibercaja Gestión, investment decisions are taking based on solid convictions resulting from a thorough analysis process as well as from the tight relationships we have with different market actors," said the company in a note.
The new strategy expands the firm's range of sectoral equity funds, which also saw the launch of the Ibercaja Megatrends fund in June.
Ibercaja Megatrends is an equity strategy that seeks value generation by investing in global trends including the tech revolution, the demography's transformation and trends related to the environment and sustainability.
Ibercaja Gestión had €13.38bn of assets under management as of the end of August, after having grown by €378m in the year. The amount represents a market share of 4.99%, which places the entity as the seventh asset manager in Spain as per assets managed.
