The Italian branch of the global association currently offers a range of educational opportunities while facilitates the open exchange of information and opinions amongst investment professionals through an ongoing series of events for investment practitioners.
It was founded in 1999 as a non-profit organisation of investment professionals who agreed to abide by the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. Although it was created in 1999, the Society changed its name to the Italian CFA Society (ICFAS) in 2005 and to CFA Society Italy in 2012.
Four asset management groups will be presenting at the event including Natixis Investment Managers, Principal Global Investors, Mirabaud Asset Management and Artisan Partners.
Frédéric Dupraz, co-founder of Thematics Asset Management at Natixis Investment Managers, will address the concept of "safety" as an investment theme while Simon Hedger, managing director and global portfolio manager, Property Securities at Principal Global Investors, will talk about real estate investment trusts (REITs) and the valuation opportunities presented now by this market.
Anu Narula, head of global equities at Mirabaud Asset Management, will also be presenting.
