JTC has named Marina Cristiani as Head of its New York Office as the firm looks to continue to strengthen its proposition in the US and wider Americas market.
With her appointment coinciding with the office's fifth anniversary this year, Marina, who is part of the JTC Private Office team and sits within the firm's Private Wealth Services division, will take on responsibility for continuing to build JTC's presence across the Americas region from New York by drawing on the expertise of its US and global network.
Marina has almost two decades' experience of working with UHNWIs and international wealthy families, with a particular focus on Latin America and expertise in establishing bespoke estate planning solutions.
JTC opened its New York office in August 2014 to augment its network of offices in the Americas, offering access to a broad range of expertise across the private client and corporate sectors, including family office services, entity formation and administration, succession planning and philanthropy. It is complemented by offices in Miami, which opened in 2013, and South Dakota, where JTC was granted a trust licence in 2016.

Sanlam UK, part of global financial services group Sanlam Ltd, has announced a raft of eight new hires within its wealth planning team as the company continues to increase its UK-wide presence and enhance its client offering.
Those teams in London, Bristol, Fareham and Preston have all seen their headcount increase, with new senior wealth planners and wealth planners joining their ranks. All new members of the Bristol, Fareham and London offices will be reporting into Elliott Silk, head of commercial at Sanlam UK, and the Preston team will be assigned to Ian Martin, regional sales manager at Sanlam UK.
The London office has added Sarb Chahal and Paul Johncock as senior wealth planners from Tideway Investment Partners and Close Brothers respectively. Jean-Michel Morelli has also joined as a wealth planner in the Monument offices from St James's Place. The Fareham office will now also be supported by Paul Cadman who joins from NFU Mutual as a senior wealth planner.
Sanlam's office in Bristol has appointed Stuart Arnold as a senior wealth planner, previously at Charles Darby, and Chris Halliwell, a wealth planner who joined from Create Financial Consulting. Two additions were also made to the team in Preston, with Mike Walker joining from Prest and Jamie Reed moving from Pitch UK, both as wealth planners.

Axiom Alternative Investments, the French asset manager with $1.4bn under management and offices in London and Paris, has announced the appointment of Bedis Gharbi as senior portfolio manager to support the continued development and diversification of its growing London office and fund range.
Gharbi, a graduate from the École Polytechnique and ENSAE, brings over 20 years' experience in the investment management industry, most recently as Head of Synthetic Credit Funds at RiverRock European Capital Partners.
He was previously in charge of the credit correlation portfolio management at Deutsche Bank which he joined in 2009. Bedis has also held various senior roles at SPQR Capital, RBS and RBC Capital Markets.

Lombard International Assurance, a global leader in insurance-based wealth structuring solutions for the high net worth and institutional markets, has confirmed the appointment of Luca Bertacchi to the newly created strategic role of director, head of Switzerland and international markets.
Bertacchi's role will focus on driving the business's ambitious growth plans in Switzerland, supporting its multi-disciplinary team of experts across the company's three hubs in Zurich, Geneva and Lugano. Lombard International Assurance's Swiss operation caters to the specific needs of internationally mobile HNW and UHNW individuals, families and institutions who have chosen Switzerland to safeguard their financial assets.
Bertacchi joined Lombard International Assurance in 2011 as country manager for the Italian market. Having successfully developed the business in Italy, he was promoted to regional director for Central & Southern Europe in 2016.

Fiona Southall joined Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management at the beginning of September as senior specialist sales - private markets. Based in the Paris office, she reports to Gad Amar, deputy CEO at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, who is also responsible for business development.
Raj Shant has joined Jennison Associates, the fundamental active equity and fixed income affiliate of PGIM Inc., as a portfolio specialist.
As part of Jennison's continued efforts to grow its European institutional footprint, Shant will expand the European relationship platform for the firm. Based in London, Shant joins as an employee of PGIM and is wholly dedicated to Jennison. He reports to Peter Clark, Jennison's head of product and strategy.
Shant was the head of European equities at Newton Investment Management, spearheading the growth of the European equities business.

ING has appointed Anjali Tull as Head of HR in the UK and Middle East and Wholesale Banking EMEA countries, working together with ING's EMEA HR teams to drive a high-performance management culture across the region as well as contributing to the design and execution of the Global HR strategy. She will be reporting jointly to CEO UK & Middle East Malgorzata Kolakowska and Jags Mukherjee, Senior HR Director for Wholesale Banking.
Anjali will also be a member of the UK Management Team, continuing to promote an inclusive culture of collaboration, performance and innovation to ensure ING delivers its purpose of empowering clients in life and business.
With nearly 15 years' experience in HR, most recently at Barclays as the HR Director Finance (Barclays International and Barclays UK) and Group Treasury globally. Here she focussed on a full range of strategic and operational HR services and initiatives including change management, organisational design and cultural integration.

FE Invest has appointed two senior investment professionals. With its assets under management (AuM) having grown to over £2bn in just four years and its headcount doubling over the past year, the team has further expanded with the appointments of Catherine Makin and Steve Thompson.
Catherine Makin joins FE as a business development manager from Barclays WM. A Chartered Financial Planner, Makin most recently held the position of Vice President, providing a range of wealth management solutions to high net worth (HNW), corporate and charity clients.
Before this, she worked in the wealth management and business development arms of several global organisations, including HSBC, HBOS and Prudential.
Steve Thompson, a Chartered MSCI member with the CISI, also joins as a business development manager. His role is to work with intermediaries across Scotland and Northern Ireland, to develop their investment and retirement propositions. With 28 years industry experience, Steve has held many high-profile roles in the industry, including most recently as Asset Management Specialist for Charles Stanley.
