Schroders has strengthened its Systematic Investments team with the appointment of Antonia Lim as head of Quantamental Investments.
Lim joins from Barclays UK where she had been global head of Quantitative Research since 2012. She will report into Ashley Lester, head of Schroders Systematic Investments (SSI).
This newly-created role will entail Lim working in partnership with the firm's Equities and SSI units to oversee the delivery of strategies which bring together the best in Schroders' fundamental and quantitative investing to better meet clients' objectives.
SSI, part of Schroders' newly-formed product, solutions and quant division, has significantly strengthened its investment expertise over the past year, with the hires of Philipp Kauer from Man AHL and Kari Sigurdsson formerly of AQR, both as quantitative portfolio managers.
Prior to Barclays, Lim was head of Quantitative Research at Kleinwort Benson. She is also on the management committee of the not-for-profit London Quant Group (LQG), an industry group that organises seminars for senior quantitative practitioners and academics to discuss practical investment ideas.
