Rick Stathers, senior ESG analyst, climate specialist at Aviva Investors, will address the upcoming Copenhagen Roundtable 2019, taking place 30 October, on methods developed to facilitate a shift in the investment universe in response to a warmer world that has already suffered climate change.
Stathers will outline how, while the first generation of climate change-related funds hae been focused on companies providing solutions to climate change, the next generation of such funds will have to also identify companies across the value chain that have business models better suited to a warmer, low carbon world.
Stathers is responsible for the development and implementation of the Climate Transition European Equity Strategy, works on updating Aviva's Climate Change Strategy and facilitates its application at Aviva Investors. Prior to joining Aviva Investors, he was the global director of CDP's Investor Initiatives programme and prior to that, was head of Responsible Investment at Schroder's for 16 years launching Schroder's Global Climate Change fund in 2006.
