Barclays Bank (Suisse) SA has appointed six new employees and launched the Israel Desk for the Zurich office.
The expansion of the presence in Zurich has the highest priority for Barclays. It is in line with the strategy of strengthening the wealth management business and expanding the private banking business in Switzerland by more than 10 percent this year.
Gérald Mathieu, CEO of Barclays Bank (Suisse) SA, welcomes the new employees and said: "In view of our growth ambitions, we have been looking for the best talents so that we can seize the opportunities offered by a financial center such as Zurich."
Among the six new employees at Barclays is Amit Ben Sira. With 20 years of experience working in the Israeli market, he now heads the Israel Desk. Ehud Goren and Shahar Orbach joined the team in Zurich. Both have many years of private banking experience and will support the new Israel Desk. Synergies with Investment Banking will further enhance the value of its services to Israeli companies, family offices and UHNW individuals.
Mor Chasson, an experienced investment advisor, and two senior private bankers, Jonas Lindblom and Daniel Webb, also joined the Private Banking team in Zurich.
