Sandy Wolf, ESG specialist Thematic Equities at Pictet Asset Management will 'look beyond carbon' when she presents at the upcoming Helsinki Roundtable 2019, hosted by InvestmentEurope at the Hotel Kämp on the morning of 24 September in the Finnish capital.
Wolf will argue that current efforts to protect the planet's natural resources are too focused on carbon emissions, which does not give a complete picture. Instead, Pictet AM looks to analytical tools such as the Planetary Boundaries framework and Life Cycle Analysis to measure businesses' environmental footprints, alongside some nine environmental aspects to identify the most sustainabile industries.
Wolf joined Pictet's Thematic Equities team in 2018, focusing on impact investing and and ESG integration across all thematic strategies. Previously, she was a senior product manager with responsibility for global product launches, capacity management and regulatory projects in Pictet AM's Product Management and Development team.
Before joining Pictet in 2010, Wolf spent more than 10 years in product management and marketing-related roles at Union Bancaire Privée, Deutsche Bank and Zurich Financial Services. She holds the CIIA and a degree from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
