Barbara Ellero, partner, head of Private Debt at Anthilia Capital Partners has been shortlisted for the Women In Investment Awards Italy 2019 in the category Fund Manager of the Year.
She commented: "I am delighted to have been shortlisted for the WIIA Italy 2019. The initiative, while encouraging women into the industry and progress, highlights the inspirational work taking place everyday in pursuit of diversity and excellence in the finance sector."
"The case for gender diversity is clearly stated and documented in many industries. Women bring diverse perspectives, their leadership
style can drive more innovation and collaboration, coupled with a more balanced view about things."
"What we are talking here is about equal opportunities, it is not that women or men are 'better' but that diverse groups - where both men and women are at the table - make better decisions than non-diverse groups. Which means that, regardless of the original motivation for considering gender diversity, companies with increased diversity and a more inclusive workforce ultimately result in achieving stronger financial performances and higher stability."
The full shortlist for the category Fund Manager of the Year includes:
