Invesco expands investment solutions team with double hire

Invesco has appointed Ali Zouiten and Derek Steeden to the newly created roles of director, derivatives solutions development and portfolio manager in the Invesco Investment Solutions team, based in London.
Both Zouiten and Steeden will be responsible for developing a team to manage liability-aware and multi-asset overlay portfolios, in particular for pensions and insurance clients.
With over 12 years' experience, Zouiten worked before as head of Investments for Product Development at HSBC Asset Management. Prior to this, he was head of Guaranteed business at Baloise Group in Switzerland where he led Asset Management Solutions for insurance. He also worked at AXA, heading Solutions in Paris where he managed the product structuring team.
Steeden has over 13 years industry experience and joined Invesco from Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), where he was a portfolio manager, managing bonds and derivatives against liability targets in collaboration with internal and external managers, as well as assuming a new role as head of investment guidelines management working across portfolio management teams. Prior to LGIM, he worked at State Street Global Advisors as a strategist in a team responsible for liability- aware portfolio management and Ignis Asset Management.
