Spanish manager March AM is entering the Portuguese market through a distribution agreement it has signed with the Portuguese bank Banco Best.

Through the deal, Portuguese investors will have access to four of the funds of March AM's Luxembourg Sicav March International.

Torrenova Lux, March Vini Catena, The Family Businesses Fund and Valores Iberian Equity are the four strategies from March AM that will be distributed through the Portuguese funds platform.

According to the Spanish manager, the agreement will offer Portuguese investors access to a range of funds proving consistent positive returns in the long term. "March Vini Catena Fund has achieved an annual return of 6.04% over the past three years while The Family Businesses Fund has returned 7.46% over the same period," said the firm in a note.

The deal is a step forward March AM's global expansion strategy thanks to the distribution push provided by Banco Best's funds distribution platform, which has over 3,000 products.

José María Ortega, managing director of March AM, said: "The agreement signed with Banco Best enables us to reach new clients to continue our growth path. Thanks to it, Portuguese investors will have access to some of our flagship strategies, which have been achieving great returns in the long term through an investment philosophy based on prudence."

The deal is the second distribution agreement the Portuguese bank reaches with a Spanish manager recently after that signed with Fidentiis Gestión last month.
